How much does it cost to cruise, vacation or live-aboard a yacht in New England?

That's probably the most often asked question in yachting. The problem is, there's no real answer. It can be as much as you want or as little as you have.

Since the days when Cleopatra sailed her mega barge down the Nile in style, and onward to the gilded age of yachting, the myth has been a yacht = wealth and expensive toys. Everything we post here, all the articles and books, will be about ways to achieve the yachting lifestyle, without spending the lifestyle money. There are ways to cut costs without sacrificing the luxury we all enjoy of a sunset on the back deck.
